Sutton Power appoints Andy Martin as Managing Director

Sutton Power is delighted to announce the appointment of Andy Martin as Managing Director. Andy joins Sutton Power following eight years as Sales Director at Pramac-Generac, where he led commercial growth across the UK and Ireland in the industrial and mobile power generation sectors, most recently leading the sales strategy for battery energy storage systems, supporting their adoption across the plant rental and construction markets.

With over 22 years of experience in the power generation industry, Andy has held senior roles at CAT Finning, Aksa, Advanced Diesels, Harrington Generators International (HGI), and most recently Pramac-Generac. His extensive knowledge of generator sales, operations, and customer support makes him well positioned to guide Sutton Power through its next phase of growth.

In his new role, Andy will oversee company strategy, operations, and product development as Sutton Power accelerates its expansion in generators and battery energy storage systems for industrial, residential, off-grid, and critical infrastructure applications.

Andy Martin, Managing Director, said: “Sutton Power has an exceptional engineering foundation and a clear focus on quality. I’m proud to be leading a UK manufacturer with such history, heritage, and a well-known reputation for delivering quality products and tailored power solutions. I’m excited to work with the team to scale our manufacturing capability, broaden our product range, and deliver even greater value to our customers.”

Richard Sutton, founder of Sutton Power, will now take on the role of Chairman and Technical Director, focusing on the development of the next generation of Sutton Power products and driving innovation across the company’s generator and battery energy storage solutions.

Richard Sutton, Chairman, commented: “Andy brings deep sector expertise, strong customer focus, and a proven track record of building high-performing teams. His leadership will be instrumental as we deliver on our growth plans.”
