Established in 2004, Sutton Power is a trusted UK manufacturer of bespoke energy systems, proudly operating from our Priory Works facility in Crowle, Lincolnshire. With over two decades of experience, we specialise in the design and manufacture of generator and battery solutions for critical and specialist applications across sectors including telecommunications, defence, construction, welfare accommodation, utilities and events.
We are widely recognised for our ability to engineer reliable, high-performance systems tailored to specific deployment conditions. Our expertise includes long-life generator platforms, space and weight-saving designs, extended run systems for fuel and oil, and solutions built to withstand extreme environments such as high ambient heat, dust and harsh weather.
Versatile Power Solutions and White Label Manufacturing You Can Trust
Our product range covers Diesel, LPG, Natural Gas, Biogas, Hybrid and Hydrogen-powered generators, as well as lithium battery energy storage systems (BESS). All products are designed by our in-house engineers and manufactured on site. Every Sutton product is thoroughly tested in our dedicated test facility to ensure it meets the highest standards of quality and performance.
Sutton Power also offers white label manufacturing services, enabling customers to bring high-quality, British-built energy products to market under their own brand. We provide design support, prototyping, material procurement, electrical and mechanical assembly, testing, and ongoing product support.

History & Heritage
Sutton Power Founded
Following a highly successful career as Technical Director at Haverhill & Harrington Generators (HGI), Richard Sutton launches Sutton Power Engineering from his house in Lincolnshire, manufacturing the company’s first generators in his garage.
The Priory Works
With demand increasing for Sutton Power Generators, both in the UK & overseas, the company moved into the Priory Works factory initially employing 3 people.
Market Leader
By 2012 SPE had firmly established themselves as the market leader in Welfare Cabin Power market, producing around 400 Cabin Master Generators per year for industry leading names such as Nixons, Garic & Mobile Mini.
Telecoms Power
With energy security at the heart of every design, Suttons become the market leader in telecoms generators with the launch of the Cellmaster.
Factory Extension
Following continued high demand, Suttons invest in a factory extension, increasing annual production capability up to 700 units per year.
Rental Market
Suttons enter the rental market with an impressive line up of Stage V rental specification generators & Lithium BESS units.

Our Priory Works Factory
Priory Works is more than just a production site. It is where Sutton’s engineering expertise, innovation and commitment to quality come together.
Located in Crowle, Lincolnshire, our Priory Works factory is the heart of Sutton’s design, engineering and production operations. With 10,000 sq ft of dedicated manufacturing space, the site enables us to deliver up to 700 bespoke generator and energy system units each year, ranging from 10 to 200kVA.
The factory is equipped with an in-house CAD design office, giving us full control over mechanical and electrical system design from concept to completion. We also house a dedicated test facility where each unit is rigorously inspected and performance-tested before it leaves our site.
Our Priory Works site includes a spare parts distribution centre, ensuring rapid support and continuity of supply for our customers. In line with our sustainability goals, the facility features a specialist circular economy workshop where we refurbish, repurpose and upgrade legacy equipment.
